🩹 School Nurses Need Waiver to Provide First-Aid

A new law went into effect on July 1 that will prohibit Metro school nurses from providing basic first aid to their students unless a parental waiver is signed. The Families’ Rights and Responsibilities Act was meant to target care for trans students, but the vague wording means nurses might lose their license for rudimentary care, including using Band-Aids. • My first grader’s waiver was in her school folder. Sign it if you don’t want the school to call you for every minor scrape or paper cut!

Where Is It?

It’s time for our weekly photo challenge, where I show you a cool place around Nashville, and you try to guess where it is.

Let’s start by reviewing last week’s challenge and winner:

Two guitar sculptures, one blue and one white, on a concrete path in a park.

Today’s super star is Judy Kaye Brown! Congrats on winning last week’s challenge. I took this picture at H.G. Hill Park, located in the Nashville West Shopping Center, across from World Market. I frequently take my daughter to the playground here after a Target run. There’s also a loop for walkers/runners, and the bathrooms are usually clean. Considering how busy this shopping center is, I’m surprised by how empty the park typically is.

Now onto this week’s challenge:
