September 26, 2024 · 💌 Margaret Kingsbury

Good mornin’! I don’t know about you, but this cooler weather has me ready for fall activities. I’ve got some pumpkin patch reviews below 🎃 Hopefully, it’ll stay cool a little bit longer, but we all know we’re likely to have some more hot days.

Thanks to our exclusive launch sponsor Tecovas, our Western wear faves, for their support.

The Best Pumpkin Patches in Nashville

Fall is here, which means it’s time for my favorite fall activity: Going to a pumpkin patch. My family and I go to different pumpkin patches every year — not only to buy pumpkins to turn into jack-o-lanterns, but also to have a great time! Some pumpkin patches are pretty basic, while others have tons of activities for kids and adults, from helicopter rides to classic corn mazes. Here are my picks for the best pumpkin patches and fall festivals in the Nashville area.

Best Basic Pumpkin Patch: Flying Ghost

If you just want a pumpkin (or three) and a fall-themed selfie, this farm stand is the place for you. Flying Ghost is located right across from the White Bridge Road Target, which is coincidentally by Spirit Halloween. Stop there first to grab some Halloween costumes, then get your pumpkins and fall mums from Flying Ghost. I purchase my pumpkins here every year. They also have a few games and activities for kids, and some good photo ops 📸

  • Pros: Entry is free, and there are plenty of pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors, plus mums! It’s a great place for Halloween pictures on the cheap, and it’s open all week.
  • Cons: This isn’t an all-day activity, but a quick stop.

Best Bang-for-Your-Buck Pumpkin Patch: Gentry Farm

Gentry Farm is located in Franklin, and for only $13 a ticket, you get access to all the games and activities there: No random extra charges for wagon rides, or punch cards for a set number of activities. With several playgrounds, a corn maze, wagon rides, tire swings, animals, and, of course, pumpkins, there’s so much to do. When my daughter was a toddler, she enjoyed riding mini toddler tractors. Now she enjoys a hay bale maze and playground. She also loves their pumpkin bread, which is sold separately.

  • Pros: It’s cheap, close, and great for kids.
  • Cons: It can get dusty, so don’t wear open-toed shoes or really nice clothes. There’s also not as much to do for adults.
