Vanderbilt professor and astronomer Keivan G. Stassun is a recipient of the 2024 MacArthur Fellowship, which comes with an $800,000 stipend. Stassun studies star evolution and exoplanet discovery, and has founded several programs to increase student diversity in STEM.
