Happy Wednesday! Halloween is swiftly approaching. Where are the best places to trick-or-treat?

Thanks to our exclusive launch sponsor Tecovas, our Western wear faves, for their support.

📚 The Southern Festival of Books Is This Weekend

🗳️ Incarcerated Nashvillians Have Opportunity To Vote

To increase voter access in Davidson County jails, Sheriff Daron Hall hired election staffer Carlatina Hampton, who has helped incarcerated folk sign up for absentee ballots. On Oct. 29, two representatives will visit the jails to collect these absentee ballots and mail them in. [Nashville Banner]

👆 Touchscreen Issues on Voting Machines

Voters who use their fingers on voting machines have been experiencing technical issues with the touchscreen jumping to other candidates. Election officials recommend voting with plastic stir sticks or tapping the candidate’s name instead of the small box. [WKRN]

❤️‍🩹 HIV Awareness Funding Challenges

In 2023, Gov. Bill Lee rejected federal funding for HIV prevention programming, choosing to have the state fund these programs instead. Where Is It?

It’s time for our weekly photo challenge, where I show you a cool place around Nashville, and you try to guess where it is.

Last week’s challenge and winner:

A large white chair with bubbles at the side that says love in rainbow letters. A mural with rainbow diamonds is behind it.
Is this love that I’m feeling? (Margaret Kingsbury / City Cast Nashville)

This love throne is located at oneC1TY by the SandBar. We headed over there after a hot day at Centennial Park to cool off with some KOKOS Ice Cream, which I discovered from the City Cast Nashville ice cream episode! 🏆 Congrats to Lindsey Reinford for correctly guessing the location. May your day be filled with love 💕

Now onto this week’s challenge:

A large metal megaphone-shaped sculpture.
I was chasing my kid when I took this picture and didn’t even try to read the words. (Margaret Kingsbury / City Cast Nashville)
