Nashville's Best New Restaurants and Bars

Hungry? Every month, Jenn Harbin, the creator of The Hungry Loner, curates this list of the best new restaurants and bars in Nashville, just for you. Here are her favorites!
Hall’s Catch
Midtown just got a splash of Charleston’s magic with Hall’s Catch, an upscale seafood sanctuary. Executive Chef Morgan Lewis brings a cosmopolitan flair to the menu, and fresh seafood is flown in daily from around the globe. Inside, the chic main dining room and lively bar lounge set the tone for indulgence, while the centerpiece bar buzzes with warm hospitality. Standout dishes include delicate yellowfin tuna from the raw bar; a decadent sushi roll with tuna, shrimp, eel, and caviar; and the Alaskan halibut with romesco, a feast for the senses.

Turmeric & Co.
East Nashville’s Turmeric & Co., tucked into Hunter’s Station, delivers fresh takes on South Asian flavors thanks to the creativity of Executive Chef Angel Postalakis. Must-try dishes include the indulgent butter chicken tostada, the fiery-sweet Nashville chicken 615 with Kashmiri spice, the savory Lamb Seekh Tandoor, and the velvety sweet potato gnocchi with cashew korma sauce. Pair your meal with the Cosmo Spritz, a refreshing blend of vodka, orange, lime, and sparkling mulled cranberry — a cocktail that’s as vibrant as the food.

Tantísimo
Tantísimo, born from its roots as a farmers market pop-up, is now a full-fledged celebration of Latin American cuisine in Sylvan Park. Partners Ana Aguilar, Josh Cook, and Maria Escamilla have created a farm-to-table restaurant with a focus on sustainability and cultural authenticity. On Sundays, the pop-up serves up some of the best tamales in town, and irresistible breakfast tacos with chorizo and eggs, giving diners a taste of what’s to come. As Tantísimo readies for its official opening, its mission is clear: to inspire connection and enrich community.

The Asbury
The Asbury is Demonbreun Street’s latest bar, where owner Elliott Shannon combines his Jersey roots with his deep connection to Music City to create a space that’s equal parts cool and welcoming. The bar’s design is open and breezy, thanks to a massive garage door that seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor vibes. The menu pairs creative cocktails — like their signature espresso martini — with Jersey-style subs from Castellucci’s, ensuring you’re never drinking on an empty stomach. Known for its killer happy hour and easygoing atmosphere, The Asbury is your new go-to for drinks, good tunes, and a taste of Asbury Park-meets-Nashville charm.
