🏘️ 2025 Rental Trends
While rental costs won’t return to their pre-pandemic levels, experts predict that an increase in apartments built in 2024 will lead to a renter’s market in 2025. Currently, the average rent in Nashville is $1,779 a month. [🔒 The Tennessean]
🏫 Antioch High School Shooting Updates
Antioch High School will pilot a new AI weapon detection system called Evolv, already used by Nissan Stadium. Students return to school today. [Metro Nashville Public Schools]
- Police have arrested at least eight teens for threatening MNPS schools and staff since the shooting. [WKRN]
- The Metro Public Health Department reminds anyone affected by the shooting that their doors are open. To make counseling appointments, call 615-340-2712. [NewsChannel 5]
🏛️ Special Session Convenes
This week’s special legislative session called by Gov. Bill Lee will consider five bills: Creating a “centralized immigration enforcement division,” two bills providing additional disaster relief, extending school vouchers statewide (more below), and a fund to cover all the bills. [WKRN]
