On today’s City Cast Nashville podcast, Nashville Banner president Steve Cavendish explains why he joined the suit. [🎧 City Cast Nashville]
🚗 But I Thought We Couldn’t Have Subways …

🎶 Superstars Join Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame
Country superstars Brad Paisley and Emmylou Harris are among the new class to be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Paisley has won three Grammys with 41 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, and Harris has won 13 Grammys and is considered one of the greatest American folk singer-songwriters. [WPLN]
💈 Barbershops as Community Health Hubs
More than two dozen local Black barbershops are participating in Tennessee’s Cutting Out Stigma program, which trains barbers to spread awareness about HIV/AIDs in the hopes of preventing treatable deaths. Black individuals are six to seven times more likely to contract and die from HIV than people of other races. As community hubs, barbershops make an ideal place for outreach. [Nashville Banner]
