The proposed route for the Music City Loop, the tunnel connecting BNA to downtown, runs beneath Mill Creek, the only home of the endangered Nashville Crayfish. We’re chatting about that and other local news on today’s City Cast Nashville podcast. [🎧 City Cast Nashville]

Meet Hagrid, also known as Haggie and Haggito, whose humans emailed me within minutes of one another with the same picture, without realizing the other was doing the same! Daniel called it “The power of love.”

Hagrid’s personality is true to his name: While a big boy, he’s the sweetest, most gentle goofball, who loves to make friends with everyone. While Hagrid started as Jake’s, Daniel now considers him his adopted son. He has a thing for cat toys, and tilts his head at just the right moment when you ask if he wants to play or go on a walk — no words needed. Daniel says he feels lucky to have both Hagrid and Jake in his life — “they’ve truly become my family.” 🥹 Y’all are making me tear up!
