🏗️ Fort Negley Restoration Plans
A Fort Negley restoration project could transform the former Nashville Sounds stadium into a memorial lawn, improve trails, expand the visitor center, and restore native grasslands. Bids are due this month, with construction starting in 2026. The fort was built by 2,700 formerly enslaved people, many of whom defended the city during the Civil War. [NewsChannel 5]
