😎 Is THIS Nashville’s hippest neighborhood?
June 23, 2026 · 💌 Margaret Kingsbury
Happy Tuesday! I’ve got a couple of giveaways to alert y’all of: This week, Aldi is giving away grocery blind boxes on a first-come, first-served basis, and Democracy Clothing has teamed up with YWCA to give away 1,000 pairs of jeans this weekend. Teachers and nurses can stop by Wilburn Street Studio on Friday from 3-6 p.m. to get first pick. 👖

🏗️ Road Closure Leads to a Drop in Customers
Earlier this month, TDOT contractors closed Sugar Valley Drive to widen Nolensville Pike, and the closure is expected to last through mid-October. Nearby business owners say the construction has caused confusion and a drop in customers. Drivers can still reach Sugar Valley Drive via Sunnywood Drive, and TDOT is working to create an alternate entrance. [NewsChannel 5]
🌿 THCA Ban Begins July 1
A new state law banning THC products with a concentration of 0.3% or higher will take effect on July 1. Local businesses that sell THC products, like Clara Jane and Green Treez Company Dispensary, expect to take a financial loss as the ban comes into effect, and are pivoting to other products in hopes of still attracting customers. - The bill passed in 2025, and also allows the state’s Alcoholic Beverage Commission to regulate cannabis products. Here’s our interview with the Canvast Supply Co. CEO about how the ban will impact local businesses. [🎧 City Cast Nashville]
